All together now ... "We hate spam!".

Anything we can do about the spam polluting the list? I know if I'm 
looking at something I might be interested in, one of the first things I 
do is look at the mail list archives. If I see even a moderate amount of 
spam, I just walk away; it's the primary indication of the health of any 
software (for me anyway).

Are there any options within sourceforge to deal with it? What are 
sourceforge doing? Can we specify the list to be text only, and no 
attachments? Or something ... please. If sf can't provide a mail list 
mechanism that does a better job that what we've got, we should move 
somewhere else.

If there's some admin work involved in kicking their sorry arses off the 
list, I'm happy to help out there. But they shouldn't get on in the 
first place ...
