Indeed. I think if it didn't have google, or folks like Ken Thompson, it probably wouldn't get the buzz it got. It's an interesting language though. Yeah, I don't see too much new stuff they're doing beyond the goroutines and interfaces. Of course, they've got big names behind it, so they may be able to get over that initial hurdle.
