Lack of developers .. :) Right now it's about 1.5: me (that's 1) and Mike, who has done a huge amount of application development (a webserver and a wiki plus library code) and some library stuff, so makes about 0.5. Shayne hasn't got moving yet. About 10 years ago it needed to be 3. Five years ago if we'd had three developers full time equivalent I would have thrown 1/.2 million at it. I bought a boat instead :) The project is too big to lose developers. We need about 20 at the moment. The technology is beginning to prove itself capable of delivering modest applications. Even the docs are slowly coming together. > General issues > compiling on windows with fbuild, or trying to work out a better way > for felix to be portable? As yet, Shayne hasn't got around to trying to build it. I know for sure there will be issues with Felix because there's a lot of code in the library that's Posix dependent. There is some async I/O stuff that hasn't quite made the "portable" status. But there's also a lot of code in "flx" which is heavily dependent on Posix. Flx_pkgconfig might have some dependencies but these will be minor. It's just such a long time since I"ve seen a Windows build. It may seem strange .. but we're more likely to pick up Windows developers than Unix ones. Unix people are so conservative, dyed the in wool C hacks. A direct LLVM build would also be cool. Felix works fine with clang though. In fact I already like it better than gcc (better error message control). -- john skaller skal...@users.sourceforge.net http://felix-lang.org ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF email is sponsosred by: Try Windows Azure free for 90 days Click Here http://p.sf.net/sfu/sfd2d-msazure _______________________________________________ Felix-language mailing list Felix-language@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/felix-language
