At present we have two priorities. (1) Get the wiki stablised, running, and the content backed up so we can use it to create content without fear work will be lost.
(2) Get the Windows build fully woking, including running all the tools, including the webserver and wiki. We need both these things to attract more users and developers. Without more people the project will never get off the ground. Windows developers are typically a lot less conservative than Unix devs. There are also two more categories of developers: networking and web developers (two quite distinct groups but with interests on the opposite side of the same coin), and mobile devs (phones, etc). We should be able to grab the networking people since Felix has a good emphasis on networking including platform independent async I/O. And we're working on the web services stuff right now. That leaves the mobile devs out in the cold at the moment. That's currently the fastest growing market. With its cross compilation facilities Felix should be well suited to that market, but there will be more work to do to get that feature working smoothly. BTW: although Felix was originally targeted at the C++ crowd I think that market is hopeless. More likely to convince Linus to use Felix than a C++ programmer ;( -- john skaller skal...@users.sourceforge.net http://felix-lang.org ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
