I don't agree but I'll pull any requests you make. I personally would rather see a sequence of small commits. If you make too many comments, as you did in your post critiquing some of the docs, you'll get what you got for that: I changed one thing. The rest I read but it's in the past. TL;DR. You need to become a Lion not a Mouse. I usually don't agree with Linus but I do agree with "Commit Early Commit Often". Felix isn't a fragile porcelain vase, its a heavy stainless steel cook pot. As long as you explain roughly what you're doing I'll do more work assisting you, making edits and changes, if you do it in small pieces. Throw a whole system at me that's half working and I'll be lost. I'm not that good a programmer. Erick made a lot of changes when he was about. Sometimes he broke things. Sometimes I did. Sometimes I reverted his changes. Sometimes he reverted mine. After I dropped Felix for a while and came back he'd done some very significant good work refactoring and rewriting the compiler. Still, he missed some subtle things and it took months to discover he'd broken half a dozen things that previously worked. That wouldn't have happened if I'd been monitoring the changes as they went in. -- john skaller skal...@users.sourceforge.net http://felix-lang.org ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rapidly troubleshoot problems before they affect your business.
