You also might want to read the article on Immuno-Regulin on the
felineleukemia.org website and ask your vet about it.

Michelle,
She hasn't had another blood test since
her transfusion and we didn't plan on asking for one until after this
first amount of Epogen is gone (next Thursday). We weren't even sure
if she'd live through the weekend so we didn't have plans to re-check
her!
Her nose seems to slowly be getting more pale so I'm not
convinced her hematocrit will stay normal and Epogen apparently takes a
while to work and is also not normally indicated for the type of anemia
that she has (per the vet) so we are really going by the "it may not
work but it can't hurt to try" theory right now. We have briefly
discussed and agreed that we probably won't do another blood transfusion
unless the vet really recommends it.
We have the inital idea to
finish out this Epogen and if she is still looking good (or the same,
remember she is definitely not back to "normal") then we'd like to do
another blood panel and buy another 2 weeks of Epogen, maybe get another
dex injection depending on bloodwork.
I'll keep you
posted.
