Hi Stan,
I'm sorry to say it looks like you really need to see another vet, it
sounds like to me this one has written your kitty off anf is not
offering any treatment. If you want to help Jersey, please see another
vet ASAP, call around, explain your situation and get a feel for a vet
that offers some hope even if your Jersey is positive. Many vets decide
that a positive cat is doomed once they get sick, even with very simple
treatable things.
