He really is - he breathes so very loud because of the difficulty he has
in his mouth and nose and you always know when he is around because of
the noise -:)

Did I already tell you I'm nominating you for sainthood, Hideyo? (In
fact, I'm not sure sainthood is good enough!) No animal could wish for a
better friend than you. Rocky sounds a darling -- a very happy darling,
I've no doubt. Kerry

Thanks soooooooooooooooooooo much, Kat (now I am crying...)
Two years ago, I rescued a kitten who apparently got attacked by either
a dog or tom cat, and his entire upper pallet in his mouth was ripped
and gone and had a big hole between his mouth and his nostrils (I am not
sure if I am explaining it well) - anyway, he was dieing on the ground
and since his infection was so bad, he was only about 12 weeks old, and
he only weighted 1.5 lb then, my vet thought if I had found him a day
later, it would have been too late - anyway, he is still with me, and I
named him "Rocky" - a fighter - cosmetically, he still looks funny (sort
of) - people who meet him get scared, because his teeth are always
sticking out and he can never close his mouth, and he looks he is mad
all the time, and his eyes are all pulled to the middle - some thought
he has a kitty version of down syndrome because of the look - anyway,
these guys who needs extra care deserves a good life, too - again, thank
you so very much for giving him a home - please keep us posted!!

Hi Hideyo,
Teresa says he'll be okay where he is until I get there.
(actually, they still aren't sure he's a "he" yet) and I will
end up keeping him as long as the rest of the crew warms up
to him.

I will have my vet check him over and test for FIV/FeLV and
then I'll see how well he does with the crew. It won't be the
first kitten I've rescued - last year I rescued a tiny little
black boy from a co-worker's back yard - named him "Solo" since
he was the only kitten (mom was a feral). He was born without
his upper eyeLIDS, and when my vet neutered him, she did some
cosmetic surgery and formed eyelids out of some extra skin below
each eye. Now he thinks he's just the cutest little Cat's Meow...
