No, I haven't - I am using a dog trap, which is different one from he got caught earlier - but I have been leaving the flap door open with a bungee code and put the food at the very end corner, and he eats off of it - but whenever I put the food in too middle area, then he gets nervous and does not want to go in to eat - I was going to be patient and move the food bowl a little by a little so that he will eventually go in there, then I can close the flap door manually (with a long string attached to the door) - but I am also so worried about his condition and don't want to wait too long - because if he does not have an appetite, a trap won't do any good - but I also hate to take a chance because I could scare him, and not catch him if I use the fish net - and it's very difficult to transfer from the fish net to something else by yourself -
I will try the catnip though since I much prefer to catch him in a trap - I was also thinking of putting sod (grass patch) at the bottom so that he really can't tell the border of the trap - what do you think? He was sleeping for a while in my garden and he was just so cute - but I also know that he is an older guy, and would like a place to rest without worrying about being chased by others - Thank you, Kat, please send me and George a good energy so that we can be together all the time!!! -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Kat Sent: Thursday, June 16, 2005 3:23 PM To: felvtalk@felineleukemia.org Subject: Re: Please - I need another big prayer for George!! Dear Hideyo, I too hope you convince George to let you catch him soon. Have you really scrubbed out the trap and then sprayed it with some feliway and sprinkled catnip all over it? Sometimes you really have to change the smell of the trap. Is the trap inside a large black garbage bag that is taped around it to keep it from flapping in the wind? Some cats find the safety of a "hole" more reassuring than an open trap. Good luck!
