Hill's A/D with a little tomato juice add is almost the same thing as liver shake...
But you have to get the A/D from a vet...The important thing is to get something into him ASAP...NOW!!!!
If he will drink water let him...or anything he will eat....

I agree it was almost malpractice to send him home without at least these instructions..
Finding a vet that is FeLV friendly is important ... many are not...

The liver shake does have iron in it, but iron deficiency is almost never the cause of anemia in cats so it will not help the anemia itself. it is good because they will often eat it when they will not eat other things, and it is nutrient-rich so they need less volume of it than other foods (60 ml a day).

The liver shake is
a recipe which has liver as the main ingredient, I will find it and post
it to the list, coming right up.  It is good for cats who are anemic,
but the best thing is to see an internal specialist as suggested and
find out why Cloud is anemic.
