Please cross post FAR & WIDE, especially to your GA rescue groups
that took in Katrina dogs.  Excellent description of GSD w/all tags,
check to see if this dog is something you took in!

Hi All,

I have been contacted by a family that was forced to leave their
German Shepard behind while they fled the conditions of New
Orleans.  Please know that this family loves their dog and had been
searching for her ever since they got to Georgia.  They have been
back to New Orleans to look for her several times, and they keep
coming up empty.  I told Kendra that I would reach out to fellow
rescue volunteers to see if I could help her find her pet. 

After my conversation with Kendra, this is what I know about her dog:

Precious Bailey was left at an Econo Lodge on the 4900 block of Chef
Menteur Hwy in room #123 on Sept 4th.  Precious was left with a note
on the door and plenty of food.  Precious was wearing a red collar
with her rabies tag and identification tag. 

Precious is a black German Shepard that has tan on her chest between
her front legs.  She is 5yrs old and weights about 70-75lbs.  She
has had formal training.  She is spayed.  She does have distinct
beauty marks on her face that the family can identify her by.
Unfortunately, Kendra does not have a picture of her dog with her.

If any of you know about dog that meets this description or has time
to search petfinder.com and sees a dog that sounds like Precious. 
Please let me know so I can tell Kendra.  She has limited Internet
Access, but she can review pictures if we find a dog that might be
Precious.

Please let me know if you have any further suggestions.
