Well, the virus is very flimsy, as I understand it, the contagion is not high (like a URI). It is generally supposed to be contagious thru food and water, but I've mixed my felv+ and - cats for long periods of time, with them sharing food dishes, and no problem. Hope that's some comfort. Don't know if there's any research on that.
