It seems to depend on who you ask. The longest I've seen for time
between departure of an FeLV+ and bringing other cats in is thirty
days, but the general consensus is "several days." The point I've
seen made is that any feleuk virus in the environment usually dies
within a few hours, but other, heartier infectious agents that the
FeLV+ might have been dealing with, especially if he or she was sick,
may take more time to die. For those agents, I've seen
recommendations for diluted bleach on floors, counters, etc. The
Cornell web site probably has a good answer. Good luck to you and
