Michelle,
What a wonderful thing you did for that poor little creature! And, I
totally agree, the vets should be ashamed of themselves...I mean, don't they
take the same oath as people Dr.s to "save all"?
Out here in the country, we are loaded with rednecks & hooligans that
will purposely run over, sometimes even veering OFF the road, whatever living
creature is in their path. One time I got a license number of some guy who
purposely hit an animal, and when I called the police here, they wouldn't do a
damn thing!
I was just telling Nina today about the baby (wild) rabbit I took in before
my accident. After talking more to Dennis this PM, I found out that it's
mother was dead and so I took it in & nursed it...
Of course, it grew and was MUCH better while I was hospitalized so Dennis
released it. Now, every time I see a bunny in my yard I wonder "Is that MY
baby?" I am so glad I did intervene though. And, the rehabs would not
touch a small baby....
Prayers for the groundhog, Lucy & Gunnar.
Hugs,
Patti
