Maybe the thought of the poor cat having his penis removed is what made your tongue numb.... Or did you just eat something  v. cold or v. spicy? Hope it comes back soon. I got a big shock when I first moved here and found my lips stopped working if I didn't cover them up from the windchill. Quite hard to communicate when your lips won't move.
