sid-amd64 (running Debian unstable) has gcc 4.8. It has been red for a while because it hangs when compiling one of the benchmarks. It doesn't hang if I remove the optimization flag -O2 from the compile command, so I guess the problem might be caused by this bug: http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=57417 This was fixed a few days ago, so hopefully it will be available in Debian unstable soon.
