By choosing my research line: "CFDCT - CFD Computational Technology" the candidate would have the opportunity of working with me on FEniCS at BCAM ( bcamath.org) in an international environment together with our CTL group at KTH (http://ctl.csc.kth.se) in Stockholm. Our research concerns adaptive stabilized FEM, FEniCS in an HPC setting with good scaling on supercomputers and current advanced applications in simulating the turbulent flow around a full aircraft, biomechanics such as the human heart and vocal folds and marine renewable energy, where we recently won first prize for best poster at the Bilbao Marine Energy Week (BMEW) together with our partner Tecnalia for adaptive predictive computation of the hydrodynamics of a platform for floating wind turbines see: http://youtube.com/ctlabtv for other examples and my home page: http://www.csc.kth.se/~jjan/.
