If you have a combination of Ferret/AAF working in your development environment, you can copy the Ferret gem to your vendor folder and it will be used instead of the one installed by Godaddy. This technique is known as 'freezing' and is often applied to the Rails framework to make sure everyone in a development team is working with the same version.
