Hi:
We are waiting to make sure that TAPCUG Linux SIG once again has a booth at LinuxFest before we book a room at the Hampton.
Thanks, Joel Carlson

The LinuxFest Northwest organizers are pleased to request proposals for exhibits and
presentations for the 2011 Fest! Attendee participation is important to the success of
the Fest. Thanks to sponsors and exhibitors the event is free to attendees again this
year. Thank you for your support!
Please visit linuxfestnorthwest.org to register a presentation or an exhibit, to sign up
as a sponsor, or to create a user account. User input is used to create the final
schedule and to assign rooms. Please join in!
The Fest will take place April 30th and May 1st in Bellingham, WA. Official activities
will kick off at 9:30 both days. As usual, there will be people around earlier doing last
minute activities. There will be coffee, conversation, and opportunities to jump in
whenever you arrive.
Presentations
LFNW presentations are a big draw for attendees. They are informal, yet high
signal-to-noise. If you are interested in something, chances are good that others will be
too. Please consider sharing your knowledge and experience. If there is a topic that you
want to be addressed, post it to the Sessions Forum in the Community area of the website
and ask for comments. Select one of those topics if you're not sure what to present.
Exhibits
The exhibit showcase is a mixture of commercial offerings, education and advocacy. It's
also a place where people with common interests can meet up. Late Saturday afternoon, the
World Famous LinuxFest Raffle hullabaloo draws most Fest attendees and kicks off the
evening fun and games. If you or your company want high quality exposure to serious open
source users, an exhibit space is perfect. Please consider also becoming a sponsor or
donating prizes for the Raffle.
Sponsors
Generous sponsors make it possible to offer LinuxFest Northwest with no admission charge
to the exhibit, presentations or the Saturday evening after-party. Since its beginning,
the Fest has been supported with an outstanding venue at Bellingham Technical College.
Other sponsors are featured on the LFNW website throughout the year. This year, a new
category of LFNW supporter has been added--the individual sponsor. This sponsorship
option includes prepayment of some Fest discretionary expenses.
Online billpay
Sponsorships and exhibit costs can be paid online. For those who don't use a credit card
or PayPal, the Fest supports Purchase Orders and other corporate billing arrangements.
The Fest is free for attendees. Sponsors and Exhibitors help keep this event free.
Online IRC, forums, ride share, etc:
There are plenty of opportunities for attendees to get to know each other and plan ahead
before the event. Please use the website as a gathering place before the event so we can
have a community more than just the two days we're together. Get online soon and connect
with your colleagues!
Twitter/social networking:
The LFNW twitter feed is @lfnw. Use the #lfnw hash tag if you're talking about LFNW.
We're looking forward to another great Fest. Tell your friends, and get on board online at
linuxfestnorthwest.org
See you there!
