Remember that purpose of something might not be the same thing as its outcome. For example, the purpose of voting for a politician would be to have them keep their left-wing promises, but the outcome could be a pro-rich pro-retired policy. In this case, I predict the outcome would be more influence by the people who are at ease at in-person meetings and have nothing better to do with their time. Exactly the opposite of what we need.
