That is a long time hopefully (estimated 15+ years), unless gcc starts
pulling a "fast release" cycle like Firefox or Chrome. Who knows, by
that time the bleeding mess that is multimedia might get sorted out,
and FFmpeg would have reached a stage of perfection where we can all
just sit back and relax, looking back on all these years with
satisfaction (and maybe some nostalgia) on our faces.
