I think the date should be present too, it is the only information that can be parsed without any previous knowledge. > - It should also be gitrevisions(7)-compatible Extra information can be added in a separate chunk: version gitrevisions-compatible (extra details) compn: the date is the date of the latest commit, not the build date.
