New submission from Thunderbolt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

as first note, I uploaded the according .evo sample to the MPlayer FTP.

my problem: I try to playback a HD DVD AVC source (namely Band of Brothers EP1
and Babel) using ffdshow, but the result are what I would call rainbow frames
basically on the complete 1st Episode of Band of Brothers and as well in between
it also occurs in Babel. The sample I uploaded was from the beginning of the
Band of Brothers Episode, the problem looks identical when it occurs with Babel.

just to ensure, here are screenshots how it looks like for me then:

I used the latest version of xxl's build of ffdshow (which is 1890 atm), as well
as older versions to test (as well as clsid builds), but its the same there. It
is definately no problem with the source, as it plays without displaying these
problems using CoreAVC or PowerDVD.

clsid from doom9 gave me the advice to test it with a new version of
ffmpeg/ffplay to see if the problems are still present there as well, and they
were. he (or celtic_druid) compiled version ffplay rev12362, for me which I got
from here:
http://www.zshare.net/download/86216137fe177c/

he said that its most likely a bug in ffmpeg then and gave me the advice to
report this problem here then.

in case you have further question, please note that im not really familiar with
too much technical expressions so please keep it simple and I hopefully will
understand what you mean. Thanks!
