I extracted the 60th frame after -ss 15 (with mplayer rc2) from 
http://samples.mplayerhq.hu/V-codecs/SVQ3/returnoftheking_m480.mov and 
decoded it with ffsvq3 and qtsvq3, results are (together with the picture 
I tried to upload yesterday) in incoming/issue256.

They show the same issue.

How do I know? I tried to remux the (original) sample into mp4 
(impossible), avi, nut (unplayable result) and mov (can by decoded with 
ffsvq3, but not qtsvq3).
I then tried to switch all (and some) bits of the extradata in SEQH to 0, 
but the result were either unchanged or invalid files.
