Jason Garrett-Glaser <[email protected]> added the comment: OK, the problem appears to be that the file's first frame is YUVJ422P--and its second frame (and all those forward) are YUVJ420P.
This crashes swscale. Estimates suggest that Facebook receives over *one thousand* of these files per day, so this is a serious problem that represents a large portion of our decoding failures.
