Attached a new version of the patch, v9. v9 ABR performs much better than
v7 in all the samples I tried, including fatboy. v9 VBR performs better
too except in fatboy, I'll analyze the differences to v7 next to see why
that's so. But for the time being, I think it'll be a good idea to test
v9.
