Just to let you know, we've managed to fix this issue by upgrading XCode
on our Mac build system to the latest version. Our new compiler version is
"Apple LLVM version 10.0.0 (clang-1000.11.45.5)", so I guess this was a
previously-fixed bug in the compiler.
