Perhaps ffmpeg should change the default level to 5.1 if that's the limit
of common decoders?
While not directly the fault of the library (the hardware decoder should
just refuse to play the file), a default preset producing a file that
doesn't work properly on common decoders leads to a pretty bad user
experience.
