Why didn't you test yourself? Regarding your earlier comment about TrueHD being "a proprietary format": TrueHD is based on Meridian Possless Packing, a format specified a very long time ago. FFmpeg contains a decoder for MLP / TrueHD that is known to work well, the encoder is more experimental but still usable but that was not the original question.
