Logging this will certainly help - I have not found the trac #, maybe you haven't done it yet. For information, earlier this year, on January, a patch was reviewed and would have fixed your issue - if it was applied. https://ffmpeg.org/pipermail/ffmpeg-devel/2023-January/305659.html This affects also DV and more recently FFV1 which was the target of the patch. For information, these things are much trickier than it appears, there are interoperability concerns etc., so things are moving slowly and user inputs are welcome.
