Hello all,

I have an issue with the libmp3lame audio codec, when recoding movies with
ffmpeg release 6.1 (for information, the image part of the movie, is re-encoded
with the libx265 codec).

At certain points in the film, the sound "crackles" quite loudly (something
like : crrrr ... crrrr ...) for a few seconds, before returning to "normal"
(the sound no longer crackles) ; then a few minutes later, the same thing
happens again, and so on throughout the film.

In the command line, I use the following parameters for the sound :

      -acodec libmp3lame -ar 48k -b:a 128k -q:a 3

Does anyone have any idea what causes these cracking effects ?

Is this because my command line is missing some parameters, and if so, which
ones ?

Is it because the settings I've made for the soundtrack (see above) aren't
right ? If so, how do I change them ?

Don't hesitate to let me know if you need any further technical information ;
thank you in advance for your advice and help.

Regards,
HA
