Good point. Thanks, Jim. I added that as an afterthought. I'll add it to
the key.

I think there's only one notation system.
<Y_width>:<Cb_width>:<Cr_width>
with the caveat that a width of zero means that the particular 'plane'
doesn't exist in the pixel data.

You make a valid point, but pixels lend themselves to character graphics
(what some people call "texipix"). Pixels and  monospace characters are
both quantized and uniformly spaced. And there's no concern with how
things are rendered.
