Hello,
Maybe this didn't occur to you, but microsoft contributes to the OSS
ecosystem and, I'd argue, we have much more to fear from them as they
have declared, through their past actions and their founding CEO, Mr.
Gates, to be very anti-OSS.
Tell me, have you spoken about concerns regarding the "security" and
"integrity" of their SW?

Or how about Mixed-Source SW, which Valve, google(Android), and others do?

Just like every other OSS contribution on the planet, Russian coder's
code gets reviewed by others for it's "security," "integrity," and
performance, functionality, and features.

If you feel that there's some lack of "security" and/or "integrity" on
the part of Russian coder's code, you're welcome to review it yourself,
and point out any vulnerabilities that you find to the various projects
and their to said projects' upstream users.

To try and simply wall off a whole section of people because of some
unproven suspicion is both anti-science, because nothing has been proven,
and irrational, as not every individual or group of individuals are your
enemy just because some other group of people or individuals are, or may
be, your enemy.

Furthermore, inasmuch as you'd like peace, it logically follows that you
will try to approach people in the spirit of peace. On top of being
common-sense, this is basic game-theory 101.

Sincerely,
David
