I've posted same question to askubuntu.com but learned they recommended
that I jump into mail-group and because you are responsible for FHS - File
Hierarchy Standard in Linux (or specifically Ubuntu).

So, here's my question,
Why can't all the mount point in root directory changed to /mnt/temporary &
/mnt/removable?

In the rule, it said that the reason /media & /mnt existed is because they
work differently and that /mnt is a mount point for temporarily mounted
filesystem and /media is a mount point for removable media.

It just add up an obsoleted mount points in the root directory.

So, just move all mount points into /mnt and create a subdirectory that
function differently.

Ex:
/mnt/tmp # temporarily mounted filesystem
/mnt/rmb # removable media

(It doesn't have to follow the abbreviation. ie: rmb)
