After a 4-5 year lapse from FiberNet, and several weeks of lurking, I am bac=
k.

This week I heard from Amy Clarke, editor of "Spin-Off", that the deadline
for completely blue skeins has been extended to March 19. See page 7 of the
Winter 2000 "Spin-Off" for details.

The last few years, I have been spending more time on n=E5lbinding than
spinning. Nancy Bush and I will have an article in the May/June issue of
"Piecework". Nancy has written about the history of n=E5lbinding, and I have
written directions to make a M=F6bius scarf. If you want to take a n=E5lbind=
ing
workshop, there will be several opportunities. I will be teaching at MAFA,
June 22-24, and at SOAR, Sep. 16-23. Also, I don't know his schedule, but I
would guess that Larry Schmitt will be teaching teaching workshops in the
Midwest.

An amusing find: yesterday, I was checking my fiber stash to see if I could
find any blue fiber that I had forgotten about. I came accross a box with
the return address Ron Parker, Sammen Sheep Farm, full of Lincoln top. It
is still in good condition -- but not blue.
