time,,,,,,,but I do read your posts and enjoy them. Thanks for all the
info on blocking yarn, very helpful,,,,,Holly, I did not know you were at
MFF,,did you introduce yourself??? If not, you better next year.
I have a BIG favor to ask of you breeders who show your animals or
your fleeces. Do any of you have access to a breed standard, or scorecard
that you can mail me? To make a long story short, I was instrumental in
getting the local 4-H goat and sheep club started in animals by my Sheep
to Shawl team donating money to them to buy the animals. They now want me
to help with getting a fiber club started, which is greatly needed. I
have tried to help them, but they don't listed, so maybe if it is in
writing from the different breeds, or even a showmanship type of
something,,,,,This is what I need, something that tells me that luster,
character, lock definition, uniformity, etc. mean something in showing
the animal or the fleece. Now when you judge an animal that has been
washed and carded out there are none of these things present!!! And when
you pick up a fleece that has the belly wool and shit tags,,that just
does not cut the mustard, so if any of you have access to a scorecard for
judges, or for your breed, please leave me know.
