San Diego Knit Together Saturday 8/14/04, 11AM-???

Balboa Park at 6th and Upas

This month we are doing something a little different. We
are having a potluck because this is the last time Tammy,
Todd and Amber will attend the Knit Together as 'regulars'.
They are moving to FL at the end of this month. We have
supported Todd in war, participated to some extent as Amber
grew up and watched Tammy hold her family and the wives of
her DH's shipmates together. They have been a part of us
and we will miss them.

Please bring your knitting, your FP's, any questions you
have, new books, new mags, the dog. Let the SO take the
kids into the Museums and let you have a day off. Don't
forget a chair and something to contribute to the potluck.
Laura, please bring Calico!!

Last month we were teaching several people to spin and knit.
Members of the Knit Together have donated spindles, fiber,
information, knitting needles, yarn, patterns, knitting bags
so we are well equipped to seduce you into the fiber
lifestyle.

Not only that, but you will be able to buy free-range eggs
from organically fed chickens that have never never met an
antibiotic or growth hormone. And yes, you *can** taste the
difference.

Directions from the 8: head south on 163 and exit
immediately onto University. Cross University and head
south on 6th. At the intersection of 6th and Upas turn left
into the Park. Park the car in the vicinity of the first
speed limit sign and look for us to the right under the
group of pines.

>From the South and from the 94: head north on the 5, exit
6th Avenue, turn right at the light and head north on 6th
till you come to the intersection of 6th and Upas. Turn
Right into the Park and proceed as above.
