Well, Khomeini wasn't elected. And Hamas does have a stake now. Before they had nothing to lose. Now at least the leadership has something to lose, and some expectations of delivery of services. And unlike the previous government, they may actually have some ability to control the terror. The previous government was always afraid of being assassinated. Presumably the fear would be less in this government. Glass half full. Glass half full. In any case, we'll find out.
