They didn't live by Koran law, but under the most secular Constitution in the Muslim world. Iraqi women were equal to men in terms of property rights, divorce and custody rights, and were educated, professional, and part of the army and the government. Of course, we had to liberate them into being under Shia Sharia law....and no longer free at all. Reg
