The Division of Museums, Arts and Humanities (MAHD) of the Special
Libraries Association (SLA) will reimburse travel and accommodation
expenses up to $2,000.00 US for a professional librarian from a non-G8
country to attend the 100th SLA Annual Conference in Washington, DC,
from 14-17 June 2009. The awardee will also receive free registration
to the conference and to all MAHD ticketed events and will be expected
to attend all MAHD programs and events.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: December 31, 2008

the last (and the first ever, i think) filipino to be given this
travel grant was Maria Luisa Calanag in 2003. why not see if you can
be the next one?

as an added incentive, i will be your guide to all the SLA-MAHD
events--IF you consider that an incentive =)

full disclosure: i am on the selection committee, so please don't ask
me for advice. what i can promise is that if we're down to the last
two applicants, and both are equally good but one is filipino, i will
of course vote with my very filipino heart =)
