Dear colleague, As a substantial part of my research study on occupational risks in Philippine libraries, I am doing an online survey to determine the health hazards to which library workers are exposed, what the adverse health effects of these hazards are, and what health and safety program are now in place to address these concerns. The aim of this study, however, is to present a major proposal for a concerted action plan to promote occupational safety and health in library workplaces. Eventually, this study intends to raise the level of consciousness of our librarians and their employing institutions as to the significant role of health and safety in libraries.
