Sa accreditation requirement, kailangan talaga na ang librarian lalo na ang 
head of the library shall be given an academic or faculty status...try to look 
at the accreditation instrument on Area 7 Library on the Sub Area A.  
Administration - di ba naka state talaga dun na the Librarian has an academic 
or faculty status....maghanap ka daw ng instrument ng AACCUP Accreditation sa 
area 7 library...meron ako dito kaso lang hindi ko napa-scan.... hard copy kc 
eh...  hope I have given u again another idea on this issue...   yours....

Hello Nolie,

    I think faculty and academic statuses are just the same.... Meaning the 
librarian is given this status so that he/she has  equal responsibilities, 
privileges and benefits with that of the faculty...because as librarians, we 
are serving the academic community, the services of the library are part of the 
academic activities of the institution... so it is but proper that the 
librarian is given an academic or faculty status...you are also given teaching 
loads to justify your status...

    A Head of the library is supposedly given an academic status as one of the 
requirements in the accreditation... but mind you.....I do not have an academic 
status right now, administrative staff pa lang ako .. and I am the head of the 
library...hindi ko pa lang feel at the moment....hehehe...may be later na....

    I hope I have shared something for u.
