In my case I collected Php125/hour or Php1,000.00 for 1 day (8hours). My work
includes training the library in-charge in the different library works, prepare
accreditation docs, organize library collections like accessioning,
cataloging, encoding, card production, etc. activities. I never let them use
my librarian's license for what I understand it is not allowed. I am paid
according to the number of hours I spent during weekends and holidays and
according to my accomplishment. There was a school that offered
Php8,000.00/month as my consultancy fee provided that I am going to submit
credentials particularly my license, and my function is supervisory only
because they already have a librarian who is not yet a licensed. I turned town
the offer because of the condition that my license be used since I am working
in the government Maybe Sir, you can charge Php8,000.00/month consultancy fee
but if they want to use your license, it is another story
already.
Anybody out here who can give us the idea that it is just ok to allow our
license be used for consultancy? Please give us idea on this so we could not
encounter problems in the long run. There are lots of consultancy offerings,
they offer attractive consultancy fees in exchange of your librarian's license.
How can we accept the offer without violating any rule? Please I need your
legal opinion. Thank you very much and hope I have given you ideas on your
query.
