For a consultancy rate, you can demand as high as 10k pesos per month, and that depends if the employer will go for it or reduce the amount, the important thing is you have named/informed him about your price. This will also depend on the nature of your consultancy activities and the time you will spend per month.. if you will just report to give instruction to the staff what to do, or to train them the different library processes, or you will personally do the dirty job...But most schools/colleges hire library consultants so they could use their librarians license only for accreditation purposes and this is not recommendable especially if you are presently working as permanent librarian. As for me, you better demand for a Php150 per hour or a little bit higher or lower than that price, it depends on what will be agreed upon without allowing your license to be used. As professional librarian, you really can demand for a higher amount parallel with that of the faculty rate or higher than the faculty's. This is one way of promoting our profession to a higher level...

The caliber of the library consultant is also a factor to determine his/her rate. Then again, most schools have set consultancy rates.
