my opinion.. 1. Librarianship is not a dying profession. It is actually a stepping stone to other professions/ careers. Why, I've known professional librarians who are now lawyers, doctors, college professors and teachers. We just have to reinvent ourselves as librarians and upgrade our services. There is an old adage that says "innovate or die?"
2. Librarians should give accurate informations and it must always be backed up by basis. I'm a law librarian in an academic law school so every informations that i'm going to give must always be accurate and timely because our students who are aspiring lawyers should always arm themselves with credible informations because I can't afford to see them reciting infront of their proffesors with erroneous facts/data. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Filipino Librarians" group.
