The SPUP Knowledge and Information
Resource Network (KIRN) is pleased to invite librarians and library staff
to a 3-day seminar-workshop on the theme: “Library Tourism and Hospitality: The
Innovative Way
of Endearing Libraries and Harnessing
Knowledge for the 21st Century Education”. This professional activity will be
held
on September 8-10, 2011 at St. Paul University Philippines Tuguegarao City,
Cagayan North, Philippines.
The objectives of the seminar-workshop are the following:
* To bring together the librarians and library staff
in all the Paulinian schools in the country and Higher Education Institutions
(HEI’s) in the region and create a library network
* To share
SPUP’s library innovation, best practices, and resources being a recipient of
the World Bank- Knowledge for Development Center (WB-KDC)
* To promote and enrich the services and resources of libraries and
information centers through library tourism and hospitality
* To enhance partnership and networking among
libraries and information centers
A conference fee of Php 4,500.00
will be charged for live-in participants inclusive of 3 days/ 2 nights’
accommodation with meals and snacks, seminar
kits, handouts, certificate and miscellaneous expenses for a visit to the
tourist spots in Cagayan.
