It will be held at the Reading Room of the Filipinas Heritage Library on October 17-19, 2012. The Conference aims to serve as a venue for discussion and interaction as well as to promote awareness on relevant issues concerning librarianship and information services in the fast-paced and constantly evolving digital age. Among the topics that will be covered in the Conference are the following: * The value and relevance of libraries and librarians in the digital age * Looking back and forward: Libraries as refuge * Copyright and intellectual property issues on web content and digital library collections * Social media and information overload as well as the social issues that may be engendered * Libraries and mobile applications * Library services for children and young adults in the digital age The registration fee is PhP 4,500 inclusive of meals and snacks, certificate, and conference kit.
