Griffins, I am happy to announce that there are 20 entries to last month's Book Spine Poetry Contest. We will now move to the judging stage of the contest. Savor the Word (Anvil, 2012) has been getting good reading raves from our library patrons. It contains essays on food and culture in the Philippines. These essays won in the Doreen Gamboa Fernandez Food Writing Contest. The essays are written in English but the tastes and sensibilities are very Filipino. Borrow the book now from your friendy library staff. |
