Someone was asking about flatbeds for proof sheets. I don't remember anyone
mentioning these two (at opposite extremes of cost):
Microtek Scanmaker 5 which has a drawer to scan slides
Umax 2100XL with transparency adapter is about US$1500 and can scan (according
to the blurb on buy.com) 31 slides at a time and do it as a batch using
a special holder. It also scans reflectives and transpanrecies up to A3.
They might be worth checking out.
