What version of VueScan are you using? With Version 6.3.13 I
can get 48-bit (well, really 36-bit) files with my FS2710 (Mac G4, OS
9.0.4). At least the file is 52 Mb and Photoshop says it is 16-bit.,
so I'm assuming it really is.
The earlier versions worked also for 48-bit, but I haven't
tried V. 6.3.14.
